Okay here it goes... The DEF CON is a specialized event for hackers, no need to rub your eyes nor to check if your glasses are all clean, you read it right !
In fact, it is one of the planet's largest hackers conventions and it is held every year in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was created in June 1993 and today it can gather more than 20 000 people every year !
Each year, this major event gathers mainly computer professionals, security researchers, IT specialists and many similar profiles.
All of them join around the same goal: learning and experiencing. In fact, there are many famous speakers who discuss the advancement of technology and computer hacking, but that's not all.
Actually, there are many contests over which many hackers try to determine who's the best of them in subjects such as cracking major softwares or even a wifi connection.
The event industry demonstrated over the last years that this is a truly amazing sectors and nowadays, there is almost an event or more for nearly any kind of topic.
Even if hacking may seem like a unconventional topic that is often regarded as a violation but several people have it as a passion and the event industry pushes all kinds of people to develop, excel and learn more about their fields of passion.
Therefore, the misfortune of some makes the happiness of others ! :)
