Delta offers Wi-Fi service on all Delta shuttle flights


Delta Air Lines is one of the most popular legacy carriers in the USA. The company is trying to improve its service to customers and become number one in the market in terms of turnover, number of customers and sevices provided onboard. Therefore, it now offers in-flight Wi-Fi service on all Delta Shuttle flights.
Delta operates the world's largest Wi-Fi-equipped fleet of aircraft. This summer more than 800 Delta aircraft, including more than 250 two-class regional jets, will be equipped with in-flight Wi-Fi service. More than 550 mainline aircraft are already Wi-Fi-equipped. (Breaking Travel News. 2012.)

Delta is the first company offering Wi-Fi on main and regional fleet. More than 400,000 Delta customers on more than 3,000 flights every day will have WIFI connectivity on a fleet that makes up nearly half of the world's Wi-Fi-equipped aircraft. (Delta Air Lines. 2012)

Wi-Fi offers travellers the flexibility and tools to stay connected at 10.000 metres, sending emails, arranging meetings, communicating with clients or finishing a presentation before they reach their destination. „We are thrilled that Wi-Fi is now available to our Delta Shuttle customers as it's a perfect complement to other Shuttle amenities including free morning coffee and newspapers, said Gail Gammet.“  (Delta Airlines.2012.)
Delta Air Lines is considered as one of the best companies operating in the US market. In February, they were named as the „Top Tech-Friendly U.S. Airline“ by PC World magazine. (Breaking Travel News.2012.)
They were awarded also for airport recharging stations, in flight WIFI and smartphone applications with new features such as baggage tracking and airport check in.
Delta is also known for its customer service. The customer support is available 24- hour via Twitter where people can ask questions or solve problems whenever it appears. The company also offers a unique booking system directly from Facebook, news from Wall Street and many others.
They invest every year into improvements. Lately, they put 2 billion dollars in new services and facilities for customers at the airports, onboard or online services.
They also participate in renewing Terminals of J.F. Kennedy airport in New York and they invest in a new Terminal which will open in 2013 at the same airport.
All those activities make Delta as a very good and reliable company. Even though, In last few months there were several complaints about a basic service provided.  There was a  technical mistake in systems and all seating procedure was disorganised. Many passengers reclaim tickets and wanted to get a refund
