Cashless payments in events are on the rise

We think this is a great invention, because for us, being in many events, the sensation of having to watchout for your wallet, being worried if you have the cash, keeping the change in your pants, in a concert is no confortable at all, do they accept credit card? etc. All this kinds of problems can get rid with this one simple solution.

"RFID (radio frequency identification) technology has already taken over music festivals, and venues are next. 80% of the venues we spoke to believed capturing more data about fans with RFID would be impactful in coming years. 

To understand RFID’s future, Kat Tooley, the Senior Director of Event Production at Superfly, says we should look beyond the music industry. “I believe we’re going to see additional offerings in the RFID space, like at Disneyland,” Tooley says. “For example, you could hit certain “Easter eggs” throughout the event site to open up content on your phone, or discover a surprise show somewhere. Or you could ditch the camera completely if there are cameras in the area where you can tag your wristband and get photos that way. This would allow people to put down their phone and enjoy the moment, because they know it’ll be on their wristband."

So the event industry is introducing this technology, for many reason, the main being:

• Replace inefficient cash handling with quick tap & go payments.
• Boost your revenues by 30% with increased customer spending.
• Capture customer data to increase marketing opportunities.
• Manage event entry and cashless payments online or offline.
• Analyse your event success with real-time reporting.

So yeah, we are not the only one's seeing all this enormous advantages that this technology has against the old way, but also the people running this events are, and everyone is getting aware of this, in a few years, we think all events are gonna have RFID tech.
