Carnival launches new shipboard mobile app


Want to get the useful information about the cruise at any time and any where?

In order to enhance customers’ experience on the cruise, the carnival cruise line has launched a new free mobile app and the initial social media package.

The new mobile app

The app provides a “chat” platform where the traveler can exchange messages with not only travelling companions but also new friends on the ship for a fee of 5$ for all the area of the cruise, and, it also provides a group chat option. In one hand, the chat function can make the travelers find each other in the big cruise, in the other hand, it meet the social need of travelers and could protect personal information. For instance, while making new friends on the cruise, customers can communicate with others via this app in stead of adding them on their facebook.
The new app contents a variety of useful information including shipboard facilities and updates movies, sporting events on board. By using the app, travelers can get the clear information conveniently; What’s more, travelers can get a better image of the ship’s various on-board offerings by the “favorites” presenting the events that their companions are participating in. Of course, the mobile app will introduce the basic information of the trip like the current ship time, the arrival or departure times for the next port.
The app is available for the Breeze for both iPhone and Android users. Apart form the current features, the app will be more personalized and memorable for the client by adding new functions.


Creative internet package

With an increased bandwidth and speed, the company provides 3 packages depending the demand. The basic is the social media package which allows the traveler to get access to Twitter Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat for the fee of 5$ per day or 25$ voyage during the testing period. Besides, travelers can upgrade the social media package to “value” package in order to check emails, weather updates and other applications. The third package, called “premium”, will satisfy customers who require a video calling with a fastest connection speed.
